Job Description
Summary:
The Athletic Trainer assists the Head Athletic Trainer/Athletics Health Care Administrator (HAT/AHCA) in all aspects of athletic training and athletic health care functions for varsity athletics. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with the day‑to‑day athletic training and athletics health care program for 18 varsity sports with over 650 student‑athletes, providing professional and administrative services essential for the successful implementation and development of the athletic health care program, and monitoring the athletic department’s health and safety practices to ensure compliance with WPI risk management and NCAA Division III legislation.
This is a 10‑month position.
- Assist the HAT/AHCA in all aspects of athletic training and athletic health care services for the varsity athletic program.
- Conduct testing, evaluation, treatments, rehabilitation, and medical referrals.
- Monitor inventory and assist with purchasing supplies.
- Produce detailed and accurate written and electronic documentation of all varsity athletic injuries/conditions, treatments, rehabilitation, and progress notes with coaching and physician referrals.
- Provide coverage for all team practices and athletic competitions as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training.
- NATA/BOC Certification.
- Licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
Salary: Up to $50,000 for a 10‑month position.
