Assistant Program Director I – Childrens Congregate Care

Seven Hills Foundation

Compensation: $50,000 – $55,000 per year with $5,000 bonus (50% at 6 months, 50% at 12 months).

Overview

The Assistant Director of Teen Living Programs (TLPs) works with the Director of TLPs and Senior Residential Director to manage all aspects of Teen Living Programs. The role oversees census, staffing, milieu operations, daily programming, clinical practice, and other functions to achieve programmatic success.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Director in ensuring TLP goals are met and act on behalf of the Director as requested.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations of TLP sites (Burncoat St. and Boylston St.), ensuring high‑quality clinical care and documentation.
  • Work with the Director of TLPs to meet training, quality assurance, regulatory, and compliance standards and maintain EEC licensure.
  • Model professionalism, ethical practice, and compassionate regard for clients; demonstrate reliability, integrity, and effective collaboration.
  • Promote client‑centered care following best practice and client voice, recognizing diverse perspectives, and focusing on strengths‑based approach.
  • Ensure clinical services and connections are provided as needed.
  • Recruit, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and support staff and interns; lead performance management and professional development.
  • Develop and monitor program budgets, ensuring productivity expectations are met.
  • Provide clinical coordination and supervise case management of residents.
  • Report risk issues promptly to Senior Residential Director/AVP/VP/CEO as appropriate.
  • Review reports (insurance, authorization, productivity, etc.) regularly to support program operations.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of child/youth and family clinical care, mental health, educational, developmental care, child welfare, and juvenile justice systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, collaboration, and independent judgment.
  • Innovative, creative, analytical, decisive problem‑solving skills; excellent oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of program specifications (DCF contract), regulatory requirements, licensing, credentialing, HIPAA, etc.
  • High competency in direct psychotherapeutic clinical care (risk assessment, safety planning, comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning).
  • Ability to supervise and direct program staff.
  • Active CANS certification.
Education, Licensure, and Experience
  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
  • Independent Licensure in Massachusetts as an LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or licensed psychologist preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year post‑Masters clinical experience in behavioral health settings (systems/C&BHI/residential service delivery), preferably with child, adolescent, and young adult teen parents.
  • Minimum of 2 years program coordination/management experience.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health/Billing Record; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
