A growing, well‑established manufacturing organization is seeking a Costing Manufacturing Engineer to play a critical role in quoting, cost analysis, and continuous improvement across both new and legacy products. This is a hands‑on, analytical position where your work directly influences pricing, profitability, and operational efficiency.
Payand Schedule
Salary: $80,000-$100,000 per year
Shift: First shift
Location: Onsite role in Worcester, MA
Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Daily Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and refine product cost estimates during the quoting and production lifecycle
- Analyze materials, labor, tooling, equipment, and production processes to build accurate cost models
- Identify cost risks, assumptions, and uncertainties within estimates
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and vendor quotes to support detailed cost analysis
- Track actual costs versus estimates and prepare variance analysis reports
- Lead manufacturing variance analysis and monthly cost reviews
- Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and recommend efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, sales, project management, and operations teams
- Evaluate manufacturing workflows and propose optimized systems integrating labor, materials, and equipment
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean‑based projects
- Use statistical tools and production data to support informed decision‑making
- Assist with special projects and operational initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5‑7 years of experience in cost engineering, manufacturing estimating, or manufacturing operations
- Experience with metal stamping, heat treating, plating, welding, mechanical assembly, and/or CNC machining preferred
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems (Syteline or similar), Microsoft Excel, Solid Works, MS Project, and Outlook
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Highly self‑motivated with exceptional attention to detail
