Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist in Worcester, MA

Are you an experienced OB Hospitalist seeking a dynamic and rewarding locum opportunity? We are seeking dedicated physicians to provide exceptional obstetric care in a vibrant healthcare environment.

This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on patient outcomes while enjoying a supportive team and competitive compensation.

Responsibilities include managing GYN emergency cases, participating as first assist in obstetric procedures, and providing backup coverage to midwives and other staff. Hospitalists will work with a level 2 NICU and benefit from on-site MFM specialists available four days a week with courtesy privileges. The EMR systems used are PBAR and Cerner, ensuring efficient documentation and communication.

Required Skills:

MD or DO degree with valid medical license in Massachusetts

Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Proven experience in hospitalist services, OB/GYN emergencies, or similar roles

Strong clinical skills with the ability to handle complex obstetric cases

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work comfortably with EMR systems (PBAR and Cerner)

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience as a first assist during obstetric surgeries

Familiarity with Level 2 NICU protocols

Previous experience working with MFM specialists on-site

Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

Minimum of 2 years of obstetric hospitalist experience

Active Massachusetts medical license or ability to obtain one

Other Requirements:

Availability to start on 12/31/2025

Must hold current BLS and NRP certifications

Willingness to comply with hospital policies and procedures

Travel reimbursement and licensure support available as applicable
