Nephro-Hospitalist Opportunity:
Central Massachusetts
7-On/7-Off | Private Practice | No Procedures | Equity Track
A premier, physician-led private practice in Central Massachusetts is seeking a motivated Nephrologist to join our team in a dedicated inpatient role. This position is specifically designed for a new or recent graduate (BC/BE, within 5 years of fellowship) who seeks a high-acuity clinical environment with a sustainable, structured lifestyle.
The Role & Clinical Environment- Schedule: 7-on / 7-off (Monday–Sunday), 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
- Call Structure: No weeknight calls. Weekend coverage includes practice call from Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM only during your scheduled "on" weeks.
- Procedures: No procedures expected. All procedures are performed by dedicated Critical Care, ER, or IR teams.
- Patient Volume: Mon–Fri: 10–20 patients across 1–2 hospitals.
- Sat–Sun: 25–35 patients across 2–3 hospitals.
- Technology: Practice utilizes EPIC EMR
; some affiliated hospitals utilize Cerner
.
We offer a transparent, tiered salary structure with a path to significant equity:
- Year 1: $200,000
- Year 2: $225,000
- Year 3: $250,000
- Year 4+: $300,000 Base Salary + Annual Bonuses
- Equity Participation: Starting in Year 4, the physician is eligible to participate in the group’s dialysis entity
.
- Academic Pursuit Fund: To a maximum of $2,500/annum.
- Administrative Coverage: 100% of all licensing and credentialing fees are borne by the practice.
- Insurance: Comprehensive Health & Dental;
Basic Life Insurance;
Group Long-Term Disability. - Malpractice: Full coverage provided, including complete Tail coverage
. - Retirement: 401(k) eligibility starts the January following one year of employment; eligibility for the Highly Compensated Employee (HCE) 401(k) plan begins in Year 4.
- Vacation: Two weeks of dedicated vacation time per year.
- Visa: Candidates seeking J1 waiver & H1B visa are welcome to apply for this position.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology.
- Recent graduate (within 5 years of fellowship completion).
