We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Gastroenterology. As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services in the field of Gastroenterology. This position is vital to ensuring continuity of care for patients and supporting healthcare facilities during staff shortages. You will be involved in a variety of gastroenterology projects, contributing to the overall well-being of patients.

• Conduct consultations, examinations, and diagnostic procedures on patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with digestive disorders.
• Perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and gastroscopies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in Gastroenterology.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant medical standards and regulations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to medical staff and students.

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Valid state medical license to practice as a Medical Doctor.
• Proven experience working as a Gastroenterology specialist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated empathy and compassion towards patients.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Schedule:

8-hour shifts, 5 days per week

No call requirement

Shifts available at multiple facilities

Patient Census: 14-16 per day

Required procedures:
Upper endoscopy and colonoscopy

EMR:
Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
