UMass Memorial Medical Group is hiring a full‑time Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Radiologist to join a collegial team providing subspecialty nuclear medicine services across a major academic health system. $365,000 - $435,000 (final offer may vary within this range based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations).
Responsibilities- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services, including SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and theranostics.
- Perform on‑site and remote reading of nuclear medicine scans.
- Collaborate with surgical, oncologic, radiation oncologic, cardiologic, medical, and primary care teams.
- Participate in clinical education, research, and basic science involvement within the institution.
- Maintain compliance with quality assurance, safety protocols, and credentialing requirements.
- MD/DO (or equivalent) with completion of a fellowship training in nuclear medicine including competency in diagnostic imaging and radiopharmaceutical therapies.
- A or ABNM certified or eligible.
- Experience or interest in theranostics encouraged.
- Authorized User certification on hiring required.
- Approximately 100 radiologists, 28 residents, 10 fellows, 25 research faculty, and 5 full‑time educators provide comprehensive imaging services through a fully integrated health care system.
- Primary academic medical center for UMass Chan Medical School with state‑of‑the‑art imaging equipment and AI implementation.
- Opportunities for education, health services, basic science research, and AI supported by a robust radiology clinical trials office and image processing core labs.
- 2 full‑time and several part‑time faculty provide a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services.
- Services include SPECT/CT, PET/CT, theranostics, and a variety of tracers for neuroimaging and cardiac perfusion imaging.
- Usual work week consists of 4 clinical days and 1 academic day a week.
- Collaboration with surgery, oncology, radiation oncology, cardiology, medical subspecialties, and primary care.
