Store Driver

Advance Auto Parts is hiring a Driver for our distribution center. The role focuses on picking, staging, and delivering automotive parts to professional customers, as well as supporting in‑house operations.

• Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
• Pick up returns and core parts.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
• Collect daily credit accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with Main Street and National Pro customers, providing the Delivery Operations team with insights gained during deliveries.
• Assist in upselling and cross‑selling products to increase average transaction value.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
• Perform general stocking, including truck stocking, back stock handling, and cycle counts.
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
• Engage with walk‑in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Safe driving and navigation ability.
• Ability to use the delivery board system.
• Friendly and persuasive communication.
• Ability to locate and stock parts with safety knowledge and skills.
• Operating inventory systems (back stock) and store equipment.
• Sales aptitude and customer service orientation.
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and leadership.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products.
• Willingness to learn about new products and sales techniques.

• Automotive parts experience is preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

The employee will predominantly be walking or standing, with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance. The job also requires talking, hearing, using hands and fingers to handle, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and visual focus adjustment.

Work is usually performed indoors but occasionally outside with exposure to various weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration may occur. Noise level is usually moderate.

The good faith estimate for this role is between 11.80 USD and 12.54 USD per hour for a new team member. Rate offered depends on geographic location, experience, education, leadership roles, skillsets, and shift differential (if applicable).
