G&S Shipping & Receiving (Manufacturing)

The Shipping and Receiving position will package material for shipment and ensure that all labels are accurate based on customer's requirements. Resolve spooling or documentation errors found with appropriate personnel. Monitor resolution process to ensure shipment is made in a timely manner; bringing problems to the attention of leadership, as necessary.

• Understand customer's requirements for product packaging, documentation, and production orders to properly prepare the goods for shipment in a fast paced, dynamic environment of changing requirements.
• Package material for shipment and ensure that all labeling is accurate based on customer's requirements.
• Distribute raw materials to the production floor and correct machine/area.
• Resolve spooling or documentation errors found with appropriate department and/or Customer Service Associate. Monitor resolution process to ensure shipment is made in a timely manner; bringing problems to the attention of leadership, as necessary.
• Work with inspection Operations Manager or Shipping Lead to prioritize shipments.
• Keep assigned work and storage areas clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Will be required to drive a forklift.

• High school diploma or equivalency required.

• 1–2 years' experience in a shipping department/position, preferred.

• Working knowledge of basic computer functions
• Possess basic math skills, including piece counts

• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Possess intermediate math, reading, and writing skills.
• Must be able to work without close supervision and be capable of self-checking completed work.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Understand and apply safe work practices.

• Fast-paced production environment
• Work hours consist of 40 hours per week.
• Overtime may sometimes be required.
• Appropriate PPE must be worn where posted and required.
