SUMMARY
Operate clamp truck and forklift equipment to company standards. Receive rollstock and other raw materials by company procedures. Unload and load trucks and rail cars as necessary. Operate Bander, Hand Bander, and Conveyor Line as needed. Assisting Material Handlers, Shipping Personnel, Clamp Drivers and keeping warehouse organized
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Work Safely – report all unsafe conditions and or near misses immediately to your Supervisor.
- Report any property damage that occurred while you were on the lift, regardless of how insignificant it may seem.
- Maintain a clean work area – keep docks picked up, aisle ways clean and swept, bander area clean and empty trash as required.
- Keep all converting equipment lines full, machines should not wait on product.
- Able to read and understand the production schedule – keeps Supervisor informed in advance of issues.
- Work efficiently, handling bales only once, minimizing any fork lift damage.
- Cut and remove banding and dunnage for machines as directed
- Operate and maintain fork truck equipment as required.
- Perform Fork Lift inspection daily at the beginning of your shift as required by OSHA
- Communicate all relevant information to oncoming shift prior to leaving.
- Follow all LOTO procedures for loading and unloading trailers.
- Process, tag, and store incoming raw materials as required.
- Inspects all incoming and outgoing product and supplies and document for defects.
- Inventory and organize finished products.
- Perform all documentation as assigned, i.e. load verification form.
- Shred waste materials – be sure to properly weigh and identify load.
- Operate plant PC’s and appropriate systems to complete assigned tasks.
- Enter Maintenance Work Requests– for Safety, Scheduled and Unscheduled tasks as needed.
- Rework any bales or pallets of finished goods that have been spilled or are potentially unsafe.
- Work with other Fork Lift drivers as a team and communicate accordingly.
- Follow plant procedures on tracking waste bales; place all quarantined product into quarantine area.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior forklift experience required.
- Must be able to pass basic forklift and clamp truck training.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to read tape measures and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong written and oral communication.

Physical Demands- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and communicate with team members.
- The employee frequently is required to use hands, reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Ability to climb up and down into a forklift or clamp truck to operate safely
- The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to ambient temperatures.
