Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) - Electrical, Mechanical, Controls

Wooster, OH. Pay Range: $27.00 – $40.00 per hour. Permanent Position with Benefits.

A 100-year-old food manufacturer is seeking Maintenance Technicians responsible for the efficient and safe operation of all areas of the plant including processing, packaging, warehouse, and utilities. Technicians will collaborate and problem solve with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations.

The ideal candidate will be well‑rounded in electrical, mechanical, and controls. The Technician will troubleshoot and maintain highly technical and automated equipment such as fillers, case packers, palletizers, process systems, ammonia refrigeration equipment, high‑pressure boilers, air compressors, and other building utilities.

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required; additional technical certifications preferred.
• Understand and follow all GMP and Safety requirements.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS) preferred.
• Experience in food/dairy production environment preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, lift, and twist throughout shift.
• Multitask while working with a team.
• Understanding of electrical schematics and documentation.
• 480V 3‑phase troubleshooting and wiring.
• Low voltage controls.
• VFDs and servos.
• Welding: MIG, TIG, Arc.
• Pumps, valves, gearboxes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic systems operation.
• Mill and lathe.
• Allen Bradley PLC knowledge: SLC 500, PLC 5, Logix 5000 (troubleshooting and program understanding).
• Familiar with conveyors, palletizing equipment, case packers.
• Utilities boilers, air compressors, and ammonia refrigeration.
• Wastewater systems.

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10‑Panel Drug Screen.
