Production Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop assembly processes and write assembly work instructions, consistent with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF requirements.
• Work closely with Product Development engineers to generate and manage Bills of Material (product configuration management)
• Project Management skills including use of Gantt Charts and resource planning
• Equipment and tooling budget creation and management
• Develop in-house material handling processes.
• Develop assembly work instructions, work cell tools, equipment and layouts
• Support PPAP qualification activities, including generation of control plans, work instructions and PFMEAs.
• Manage line‑tryout of new parts and assemblies for controlled cut‑in.
• Manage and oversee prototype and other pre‑production builds.
• Manage in‑house Bills of Material for production purposes.
• Warehouse process improvements
  • Maximizing palletization to improve storage efficiency.
  • Assist in improving the Warehouse Management Systems & processes
  • Quick Books/DW/WWIAB Sales Order related duties
  • Gage Lab Management

Education: 4-year degree in Engineering required

• Lean / Six Sigma Knowledge
• Superior communication (written, verbal, presentations), team building, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organize and manage complex tasks and projects
• Excellent computer skills including experience using MS Office packages.
• ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and / or IATF knowledge is desired.
• 3D printing knowledge
