Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel RN / Travel Nurse Setting: PCU / Med-Surg Telemetry Float (Telemetry RN, Med-Surg RN) Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), every other weekend required (Sat/Sun) Hours per Week: 36

Travel / Contract (Travel Nursing Job) Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,020 - $2,130 per week
Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Rhode Island is a compact state (compact RN license accepted) Minimum 2 years recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry, PCU, or progressive care nursing At least 2 years recent cardiac experience, including post-cardiac catheterization (post-cath) patient care Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must be obtained prior to submission) EPIC EMR experience required (electronic medical record documentation) Ability to float between Med/Surg Telemetry and PCU units Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, communication, and teamwork skills Responsibilities Provide high-quality progressive care nursing for PCU and Med-Surg Telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation Manage care for post-cath and other cardiac patients, respond to changes in condition, and escalate as needed Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per protocol and document care accurately in EPIC Perform focused assessments, monitor vital signs, and use telemetry/monitoring equipment effectively Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, physicians, case management, respiratory therapy) to develop and implement patient care plans Educate patients and families on procedures, discharge instructions, and cardiac care best practices Float between PCU and Med-Surg Telemetry to support unit staffing and patient needs Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality standards Why Woonsocket?
