Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple highway construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. This role serves as the primary point of contact with state transportation agencies, inspectors, and engineers, ensuring project success and compliance with all relevant standards.

Responsibilities

+ Manage multiple highway construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.

+ Act as the primary point of contact with state transportation agencies, inspectors, and engineers.

+ Oversee project budgets, schedules, cost controls, forecasting, and change management.

+ Ensure compliance with DOT specifications, contract requirements, and reporting standards.

+ Prepare, review, and manage DOT billing, pay applications, and invoicing, including required documentation.

+ Coordinate closely with superintendents, field crews, and operations teams to ensure successful execution.

+ Utilize HCSS tools to support field operations and project performance.

+ Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.

+ Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and compliance.

+ Participate in project meetings, internal reviews, and leadership updates.

+ Support planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across active projects.

Essential Skills

+ 5-7+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in highway or heavy civil construction.

+ Direct experience managing state DOT-funded projects.

+ Strong understanding of DOT billing, invoicing, and documentation.

+ Proficiency in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

+ Excellent communication skills with owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams.

+ Experience working closely with field operations and construction crews.

Skills & Qualifications

+

Experience with DOT-funded projects.

+ Highway project experience is a must-have.

+ HCSS Software preferred.

+ Experience in construction, construction management, and commercial construction.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite, 5 days a week, in the RI Office. You will be part of a stable contractor with a strong regional presence, supporting critical infrastructure projects at a leadership level.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Woonsocket, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
