Junior Data Analyst

The Junior Data Analyst will support analytics work focused on healthcare claims and experimentation.

The role includes preparing and transforming datasets, building metrics and dashboards, and conducting statistically sound analyses for A/B tests.

The analyst will work closely with product, operations, and data teams to support experiment evaluation, claims performance tracking, and data governance.

Experience with PHI or HIPAA-compliant workflows is beneficial but not required.

• Query and transform large claims datasets to support reporting and experimentation.
• Build and maintain metrics, cohorts, and dashboards within the BI environment.
• Design and analyze A/B tests, including hypothesis development, sample sizing, test selection, and reporting.
• Follow data governance and privacy standards and document data lineage and assumptions.
• Collaborate with data science, data engineering, and product teams on data quality, pipelines, and experiment execution.

• 0–2+ years of experience in data analytics or a related field.
• Experience with Python for data wrangling and statistical testing.
• Basic familiarity with R (tidyverse or base R) for statistical workflows.
• Understanding of healthcare claims concepts such as member/provider structure, claim header vs. line, and coding frameworks.
• Knowledge of A/B testing fundamentals, including randomization, hypothesis testing, sample sizing, p-values, and confidence intervals.
• Experience with at least one cloud data warehouse, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Primary skills:
  Strong SQL, Python for data wrangling and statistical testing, basic R proficiency, understanding of claims data concepts, and cloud data warehousing experience.

• Experience working with healthcare data or claims analytics.
• Familiarity with experimentation platforms or statistical tools used in A/B testing.
