Advinia Care Oakland Grove is seeking a dedicated and energetic Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our exceptional team of healthcare professionals. As a Speech Therapist, you will provide high-quality patient/resident assessment, care planning, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload. This is a part-time (24 hours) and per-diem position, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents.

• Screens patients/residents and evaluates them to develop appropriate care plans
• Provides direct resident treatments under a physician's order, including individual, supervised, and group settings
• Participates in the clinical team process and contributes to quality improvement activities
• Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers
• Documents activities according to the company's clinical documentation system
• Demonstrates knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
• Communicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, and customers
• Assists with clinical program development and implementation
• Participates in training and orientation of other staff
• Demonstrates ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Speech Therapy
• Current licensure by the applicable state agency
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred
• CEU's per state licensure requirements

• Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary
• Excellent hearing and verbal skills required for directing staff, customer relations, and marketing activities
• Manual dexterity required for documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and for direct patient care
• Requires intense attention and concentration
• Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others
• Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds
• Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language
