Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Providence, RI, this full-time contract-to-hire opportunity seeks a dedicated School Psychologist to serve students from PreK through 12th grade. The role involves providing comprehensive psychological services within a supportive school environment and contributing to student success through collaboration and expert evaluations.
Responsibilities- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs.
- Interpret test results and write detailed psychological reports for educators, administrators, and families.
- Actively participate in IEP, diagnostic, and planning meetings with parents/caregivers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support and advocate for each students Individualized Education Program (IEP) by collaborating closely with teachers and support staff.
- Coordinate with school personnel, including supervisors such as paraprofessionals or related service providers, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Rhode Island Certification as a School Psychologist or eligibility to obtain certification by the date of hire.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required.
- Experience working with students across the PreK-12 age range.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with families and educational teams.
- Position is based in Providence, Rhode Island.
- Full-time commitment averaging 37.5 hours per week.
- Caseload assigned to one school serving students from PreK to 12th grade.
- Contract to hire, with a start date scheduled as soon as possible through the end of the school year.
