Job DescriptionColeman Elementary is seeking a part-time Title I Academic Support Specialist to provide targeted instruction in math and literacy for students in need of additional academic support. This position focuses on small group and one-on-one intervention, working closely with classroom teachers and support staff to help improve student achievement and close learning gaps.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Provide direct instruction in math and literacy to identified students.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention with core curriculum.
- Monitor and document student progress using assessment data.
- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with school staff regarding student needs and growth.
- Must hold a RI Elementary Teaching Certificate
- Strong knowledge of math and literacy instructional strategies.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and promoting equity.
Position Type: Part-time
Salary: $50 to $50 Per Hour
