Role Under the direction of the Continuous Improvement Coordinator and Process Owner and with the support of management staff, the employee will follow these job descriptions as it relates to the job title. The employee will own results for clean inspection and lube, centerline management system, 5S system, integrity of process data, and the KHMS maturity in the area. This employee will actively participate in annual planning, weekly RCFA meetings, Daily Level 2 meetings and DPM meetings.
This employee will lead transformation analysis, centerline definition, and associated standard development. Develop control strategies to enable operators to respond to out-of-control situations. Lead root cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses for the process. Coach teams on CIL, CLM, 5S, FSQ, and KHMS execution. Coach and develop teams by building problem solving skills within the process.
Supervised by- CI Coordinator
- Schedule time is from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM
- 40 hours per week / 8 hours daily / 5 days per week
- Overtime as required
- Flexibility to adjust shift schedule to work with other shifts
- Indoor work; primary production floor is wet; secondary locations are occasionally wet with seasonal climate
- Must wear PPE (bump cap/hard hat, safety glasses, slip resistant shoes, ear plugs)
- Ability to work in a multilingual manufacturing environment, communicating clearly across diverse frontline teams
- Facilitate line loss analysis (waste elimination and yield improvement) and line throughput plans using data to drive improvement decisions.
- Execute the SBOS and QBOS when needed.
- Lead transformation analysis and centerline definition and related standard development.
- Analyze daily and shift line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities.
- Participate in internal audits, food safety committee, and sanitary design team.
- Gather information on stops, centerlines, and changeovers from the floor.
- Investigate initial root causes of top stops.
- Develop daily plans for ownership areas and attend/co-host Level 2 meetings and DDS meetings.
- Provide constructive feedback and establish countermeasures for the day’s planning.
- Collaborate with Process Owner and Maintenance Lead to address sporadic losses.
- Apply problem-solving tools (5W1H, 5
Whys, Fishbone, RCFA, PDCA) to eliminate chronic losses. - Manage DMS using digital platforms (Power BI, CWP); implement countermeasures for outages.
- Perform other duties as assigned; comply with GMP, housekeeping, QRMP procedures.
- Assist in QRMP implementation and train new associates.
- Flexibility to work with employees from all shifts.
- AM Level 2 qualified or demonstrate expertise in CIL and Basic Problem Solving (5W, 1H).
- Plan Base Condition Events for ownership areas.
- Willingness to become Centerline Management System qualified within one month and Yellow/Green Belt within one year.
- Frequent standing and walking
- Prolonged periods on feet with repetitive actions; bending and stooping
- Capable of learning intermediate Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and KPI skills
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills
- Spanish, Swahili, French proficiency is a plus but not required
- Understand and coach management systems including CIL, CLM, and 5S
- Ability to create and maintain SOPs, OPLs, WIs, and troubleshooting guides
