OverviewThis internship position focuses on supporting marketing automation with a strong emphasis on AI integration and optimization. The role combines traditional government contractor marketing operations with cutting‑edge AI tools to enhance analytics, SEO strategies, and data management processes. It offers hands‑on experience at the intersection of traditional marketing operations and emerging AI technologies, preparing the intern for the future of marketing in an AI‑enhanced landscape with a unique focus on federal health care.

This is a remote opportunity, but the candidate must live in the Atlanta, GA area.
The Marketing Automation and Digital Analytics Intern Will Advanced Analytics and Reporting- Generate reports using traditional dashboards plus AI‑powered insights tools (GA4, Hub Spot AI features, etc.).
- Assist with Search Engine Optimization and Answer Engine Optimization strategies:
- Content optimization for AI search (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.).
- Featured snippet and voice search optimization.
- AI content analysis and recommendations.
- Experimentation and building prompt workflows for repeatable tasks.
- Integrating AI generated outputs into cohesive marketing deliverables with brand consistency.
- Skills for crafting strong text‑to‑image prompts (Nano Banana, ChatGPT 5.2, Midjourney, DALL‑E, etc.).
- Fluency in text‑to‑video prompts (SORA, Veo3, etc.).
- Support lead management and data cleansing using both traditional methods and AI‑powered tools. Tactical examples include:
- AI assisted lead prospecting and nurture workflows.
- Automated data enrichment and duplication detection using AI tools.
- Observe and identify AI/automation opportunities across teams for process improvement discussions.
Individuals working for DSS, Inc. or any subsidiary will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800‑53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day‑to‑day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high‑risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access.
Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program (Marketing, Business, Analytics, Data Science, or related field); GPA 3.2+.
- Basic understanding of AI tools and willingness to learn emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with marketing automation, CRM platforms, and interest in AI applications.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and curiosity about AI‑powered analytics.
- Adaptability and learning agility for a rapidly changing technology landscape.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts simply.
- Experience with ChatGPT, Claude or other AI tools.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4.
- Rising juniors or seniors with a major in marketing.
- Minimum 3.2 GPA or better.
- Any additional applicable training or education.

Sitting: 55% per day

Lifting:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; up to 15‑20 lbs as needed at shows/events – anything heavier should be lifted/handled by third‑party labor personnel.
