Description

United Digestive is a large, well-established organization with 130 physicians, 92 mid‑level providers, and 23 endoscopy centers in the southeast. We seek candidates with a record of academic achievement and excellent consultative and diagnostic skills. Gastroenterology experience is preferred, but not required.

Location Details

Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, Woodstock Medical Office.

General Summary of Duties

Responsible for providing medical assistance to patients in office and in hospital, and receives training and direction from practice physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Running daily GI outpatient clinic
  • Accurately providing and counseling patients with information for medical treatment or procedures
  • Answering emails and voicemails and returning patient calls in a timely and efficient manner
  • Abiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance; maintaining strict confidentiality with regards to patient information
Required Education, Skills, and Experience

Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner (adult or acute care). GI experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply. Must be computer literate and able to operate practice management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications.

  • Work under pressure; assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain composure and set a professional example to patients and coworkers

Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands

Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment; travel as business needs dictate.
