Job SummaryWe are seeking a Staff Accountant / Tax Accountant with a strong emphasis on taxation. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with several years of hands‑on tax experience who is looking to grow within a firm where tax expertise is central to everything we do. Direct experience using Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax CS is required. A solid accounting foundation and working knowledge of Quick Books are a big plus!
This is an in-office position, as the role involves client interaction and close collaboration with the internal team.
- Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns
- Perform tax research and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Utilize Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax CS for tax preparation and filing
- Support general accounting functions, including bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Work with Quick Books to support client accounting needs
- Participate in client-facing meetings and provide tax-related guidance
- Collaborate with team members in a secure, server-based environment
- Assist with firm growth initiatives and new client engagements
- 2+ years of tax-focused accounting experience
- Hands‑on experience with Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax CS (highly preferred)
- Strong understanding of individual and corporate taxation
- Solid accounting background
- Proficiency with Quick Books
- Comfortable working in a remote-server, security-managed environment
- EA or CPA license (strongly preferred at higher compensation levels)
- Candidates actively pursuing licensure will be considered and supported
- Experience in a public accounting or tax-focused firm
