Position Summary

The Quality Engineering Technologist is responsible for supporting and improving quality assurance systems, process documentation, and product compliance across all departments. This role ensures customer requirements and industry standards are met by applying expertise in quality systems, problem‑solving methodologies, inspection processes, and statistical analysis. The position contributes to continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and overall operational excellence while serving as a key resource for quality‑related issues.

Education & Experience
  • Education:

    Post‑secondary education in Quality Assurance or Certification (CQE, QCA) preferred
  • Experience:

    3-5 years of related quality assurance or quality engineering experience in manufacturing (defense/aerospace industry experience considered an asset)
Knowledge
  • ISO 9001 standards; AS9100 preferred
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) and interpretation
  • FAI requirements and APQP process
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Calibration procedures and inspection equipment
  • Problem‑solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Root cause)
Skills
  • Strong computer literacy skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with frequent interruptions
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
