Overview

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Registered Practical Nurse position for the Combined Unit. The primary location for this position is:
Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll
. This position is to be effective April 2026.

The Combined Care Unit is a patient care area that incorporates 17 medical beds and 5 complex continuing care beds. An interdisciplinary team consisting of Nurses, Physicians, Pharmacists, Registered Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and many volunteers care for patients here.

• Registered Practical Nurse, currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and in good standing.
• Well-developed Patient Assessment, Intervention and Evaluation skills.
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize patient care needs.
• Demonstrated ability to function productively in a very demanding environment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently
• Demonstrated ability to function productively as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge in the usage of various programs such as Cerner, Power chart and Microsoft Office.
• Skilled with the interaction of patients and families to provide patient-focused, goal-oriented care.
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality.
• Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions.
• Current certification required in:
• BCLS
• Aseptic technique
• Sterile dressing changes
• Pharmacology
• Suture and staple removal
• Urinary catheterization
• V. management

• Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($38.35 per hour to $39.08 per hour)
