Job DescriptionThe Production Technician is responsible for the setup, functionality, and troubleshooting of packaging equipment while ensuring production goals and quality standards are met.
Primary Duties- Ensure necessary equipment/tools are present upon start of shift.
- Operate and troubleshoot packaging equipment.
- Perform quality checks at specified intervals to ensure product quality.
- Fill out production logs to document the day’s activities.
- Clean and sanitize packaging equipment.
- Perform weekly preventative maintenance on packaging equipment.
- Set up packaging equipment and perform changeovers for various products.
- Continuously monitor the performance of packaging equipment.
- Abide by safety standards and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Line Leader.
- Report any food safety and food quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Based in a manufacturing environment and involves long periods of standing and bending. Must be able to lift fifty pounds repetitively.
Dress Code & GMP RulesYou must follow these rules while on site:
No shorts; wear full‑length pants. No tank tops, crop tops, cut‑off shirts, or short/long sleeve t-shirts. No earrings, necklaces, facial piercings (only plain wedding bands are allowed, no stones). No fake eyelashes, fake nails, or nail polish. No food or drinks on the production floor (water bottles and water coolers are provided). Associate can report any hazards and concerns to the Illinois Department of Labor at 1‑877‑314‑7052 or via email Labor.
Information
Total Staffing and QFS do not provide any transportation resources or meals for associates during assignments. Associates are responsible for their own meals and for getting to and from the job site.
