Overview

The Pharmacy Coordinator will be responsible for the collection of clinical supporting documents needed to care for patients, including laboratory results, signed written orders, assignment of benefits, and ongoing clinical documentation. They will answer incoming phone calls, direct calls to the appropriate person, greet visitors, direct visitors to the appropriate person or location, and assist with miscellaneous clerical duties.

Monday — Friday, 8:30 am — 5:00 pm

Responsibilities
  • Communicates effectively across pharmacy and/or corporate teams and with patients, and successfully resolves issues
  • Tracks all pharmacy documentation and enters it into the EMR system as necessary
  • Answers incoming calls, takes messages and transfers callers to the designated party when applicable
  • Greets guests, handles incoming mail
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • No supervisory responsibility
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • 1+ years pharmacy or other healthcare‑related experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels of management and staff; vast knowledge of pharmacy terminology and process
  • Ability to multitask in a demanding environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and mindfulness
Physical Requirements

Constant sitting, typing on a keyboard, occasionally standing and walking. Ability to push/pull and lift/carry 21‑30 lb.

Additional Job Information

Percentage of Travel: 0‑25%

Salary Range: USD $21.00 – $25.00 / hour
