OverviewThe Pharmacy Coordinator will be responsible for the collection of clinical supporting documents needed to care for our patients, including, but not limited to: laboratory results, signed written orders, assignment of benefits, and ongoing clinical documentation. The Pharmacy Coordinator answers incoming phone calls and directs calls to the appropriate person. This role is responsible for greeting all visitors, directing visitors to the appropriate person or location and assisting with miscellaneous clerical duties.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

- Communicates effectively across pharmacy and/or corporate teams and with patients, and successfully resolves issues
- Tracking all pharmacy documentation and entering into EMR system as necessary
- Answers incoming calls
- Takes messages and transfers callers to the designated party when applicable
- Greets guests
- Handles incoming mail
- Other duties as assigned
- Supervisory Responsibility:
No
- High School Diploma/GED
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
- Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician
- 1+ years pharmacy or other healthcare-related experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels of management and staff, vast knowledge of pharmacy terminology and process.
- Ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and mindfulness.
To perform this role will require constant sitting, and typing on a keyboard with fingers, and occasionally standing, and walking. The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 21-30 lbs
