We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Postgre

SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to support enterprise-level database architecture, administration, and optimization in a cloud-based environment. This role requires deep expertise in Postgre

SQL, AWS infrastructure, performance tuning, automation, and high-availability solutions.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing large-scale Postgre

SQL environments in both development and production settings.

• Design, architect, build, test, and maintain Postgre
  
  SQL databases
• Administer Postgre
  
  SQL environments across development and production life cycles
• Deploy and manage Postgre
  
  SQL on AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2)
• Optimize database performance, query throughput, and latency
• Design logical and physical database schemas
• Implement replication, Change Data Capture (CDC), and disaster recovery solutions
• Develop automation scripts for backups, startup/shutdown, and monitoring
• Implement horizontal and vertical scaling strategies
• Support zero-downtime deployments (blue-green deployments)
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries
• Support Agile development processes and CI/CD pipelines
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• 7 years of relational database administration experience
• 7 years working with database infrastructure on Linux/Unix systems
• Strong expertise in Postgre
  
  SQL architecture and performance tuning
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and database deployments
• Experience with replication and high-availability configurations
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PL/pgSQL, Groovy)
• Experience with database partitioning and data management strategies
• Experience implementing disaster recovery solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
  
  Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Must be able to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD five days per week

• Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments
• Experience with pg Admin, DBeaver, or similar tools
• Experience with Liquibase
• Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Git-based source control
• Experience tuning large-scale enterprise systems
