We are seeking a technically skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This in-person role focuses on the design, development, and optimization of high-performance drivetrain components for racing and performance automotive applications. Working closely with manufacturing, quality, and assembly teams to bring innovative, race-ready designs to life, your primary focus will be design and design modifications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop high-precision drivetrain components for motorsports and performance vehicles
- Lead multiple engineering projects from concept through production in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Perform detailed stress analysis, FEA, and tolerance stack-ups to ensure durability and performance under extreme conditions
- Collaborate with machinists and technicians to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and assembly
- Support testing, validation, and continuous improvement based on real-world performance data
- Maintain detailed documentation of design iterations, calculations, and test results
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in product development, preferably in motorsports or high-performance automotive sectors
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Knowledge of:
- Fatigue and stress life prediction for rotating components
- Tolerance analysis and stack-up calculations
- Materials science, including metallurgy, heat treatment, and surface coatings
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes including CNC machining, welding, and precision assembly
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, hardness testers, and CMM
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently or within a small, agile team
