Production Worker - Shingler

Under general supervision, perform work on the production line to build manufactured housing as part of a team, delivering quality work at a fast-moving, consistent pace.

• Performs all manual labor in the designated area.
• Install, repair, and replace shingles.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Read and use a tape measure.
• Read blueprints and orders.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers.
• Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools.

• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to work quickly and methodically.
• Understanding of safety procedures.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Commitment to Champion Operating Principles.

• Less than high school education, or up to one month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or modular housing desired.

Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
