Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Every other weekend requirement

• Rotate holidays with core staff

• First to float between ICU and ER units - this is mandatory

• Will float to sister facilities and Med Surg unit at Woodland as needed

• Work in 8-bed ICU with 1:1-2 patient ratios

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (all AHA certified)

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips

• Experience with ventilators required

• Work with Cerner EMR system

• Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned

• Navy scrubs required - under shirts must be navy, white, or black

• Floor-specific orientation of 1-2 days with preceptor

• Self-scheduling system used with manager approval

• Care for primarily medical ICU patients with common diagnoses

• Must complete DYS exam through Relias within hours of acceptance

• Two supervisor references required from ICU modality

• Cannot have been directly employed by Common Spirit facilities within past year

This acute care hospital features an 8-bed ICU with a horseshoe layout design, providing an excellent environment for ICU nursing practice. The facility maintains 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage, along with round-the-clock respiratory therapy and pharmacy services. The ICU is strategically located adjacent to the PACU and offers modern equipment and technology to support comprehensive critical care services for the community.
