Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay Information
Base Rate: $17.70/hour
Weekend Rate: $18.70/hour

, is seeking a compassionate, experienced Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team at a group home in the Passaic area, supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.
As a Lead DSP, you will work closely with Group Home Managers to ensure high-quality care, compliance with standards, and smooth communication with guardians, healthcare providers, and community agencies.

Responsibilities- Lead DSPs provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to both residents and team members while supporting daily operations of the group home.
Responsibilities include: - Collaborate with Group Home Managers to ensure all aspects of care meet program standards
- Communicate with guardians, doctors, and community agencies as needed
- Provide direct care and support to residents, including:
- Daily living skills (cooking, housekeeping, hygiene)
- Health and wellness (personal medical care, healthy living)
- Community participation (shopping, recreation, outings)
- Social and emotional development (coping skills, communication, friendships)
- Budgeting and money management
- Mentor and provide guidance to DSP staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency policies and procedures
- Promote independence, dignity, and autonomy for residents
Your work will directly impact the quality of life and independence of the individuals you support.
Qualifications- 21 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- 3 years experience as a DSP (minimum)
- 1 year lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to successfully complete:
- State and Federal criminal background checks
- Drug screening
- Pre-employment physical and PPD
- Willingness to complete all required orientation and pre-service training
