About the Role
The Pesticide Applicator will apply various pest control methods as instructed and trained by supervisor. The applicator will work with crop grower coaches and craftsmen to communicate applications being done in their areas. The Plant Protection Applicator will fill out work orders daily so necessary reporting may be completed on time.
Employment Status: Employment is full-time, seasonal for approximately 4 to 6 months, with the possibility of year-round offer, based on business needs.
Shift: Morning shift between 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Saturday, hours are subject to change based on business need.
Compensation: $16.90 per hour
What You’ll Do- Read work orders, weigh ingredients and mix pesticides.
- Follow company safety guidelines and label directions concerning chemical mixing, applying, reporting, and disposal of pesticide containers.
- Connect hoses and nozzles selected according to equipment and application requirements. Lift, push, and swing spray guns and hoses to direct spray over designated areas.
- Operate tractor and spraying equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Place flags for spray applications and conduct other field tasks as needed.
- Conduct proper housekeeping of chemical storage area and facilities.
- Basic routine maintenance of application equipment.
- Wear, properly clean, and store personal protective equipment.
- Perform other assigned tasks as directed by Coach.
- Perform other related duties to benefit the mission of the company as assigned.
- Ideally, have experience working in agriculture.

- enjoy working in a team environment and being supportive of co-workers.
- can work in inclement weather conditions, i.e. hot, cold, and rainy.
- have excellent driving skills and ideally, you’ll have experience driving a tractor, forklift, or heavy equipment.
- Ideally, have basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- can lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly or 50+ pounds on occasion. You have the full range of mobility in your upper and lower body, can reach overhead and work in various positions including stooping, standing walking, bending over, and squatting; can lift, pull, and push materials, use hands and fingers to feel, handle plants or operate objects, tools or controls;
are able to use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus, all with or without a reasonable accommodation. - are open to working extended hours, based on the business need.
