About the Role

The primary function of a Crop Growing Area Craftsman is handling all aspects of growing and maintaining our beautiful plants out in the field until they are ready to be shipped to our customer.

Employment is full-time, seasonal for approximately 4 to 6 months, with the possibility of year-round employment, subject to change based on the business needs.

Shift hours are 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Tuesday-Saturday, hours are subject to change based on business needs.

$16.90 per hour

We are seeking individuals who like working with their hands, are detail oriented, and enjoy being a part of a team.

You’ll be involved in various responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

• Pruning plants using shears or automated pruning equipment.
• Spacing, staking, and tying.
• Lifting and moving plants of various sizes so that they are spaced appropriately.
• Weeding and consolidating plants.
• Assembling orders so that you are selecting only consistent quality plants, correctly tagging them and loading them on field trailers and wagons for transport to the shipping dock.
• Adhering to all safety policies and procedures and worker protection standards.
• Performing other related duties to benefit the mission of the company as assigned.

• Ideally have experience working in agriculture.
• Are open to feedback.
• Can follow instructions and ask questions for better understanding.
• Enjoy working in a team environment and being supportive of co-workers.
• Can work in inclement weather conditions, i.e. hot, cold, and rainy.
• Although driving skills are not required, they are an advantage, specifically if you have experience driving a tractor, forklift, or heavy equipment.
• Ideally, have basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Are open to working extended hours if needed, based on the business need.
• Can lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly or 50+ pounds on occasion.
• Have the full range of mobility in your upper and lower body, can reach overhead and work in various positions including stooping, standing, walking, bending over, and squatting; can lift, pull, and push materials, use hands and fingers to feel, handle plants or operate objects, tools or controls; are able to use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus, all with or without a reasonable accommodation.
