We’re hiring for a Quality Mechanical Inspector Level 2 position in Woodinville, WA
. This opportunity is for a full-time, 6-month contract position supporting the first shift

- Review completed e-Cert packages for hardware components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Validate inspection records, test results, certifications, and nonconformance documentation for accuracy and compliance. Ensure all entries, signatures, and approval workflows are complete and correct.
- Identify and document discrepancies or errors in e-Cert packages that may impact product quality or regulatory compliance. Categorize issues by severity and communicate findings to Quality and Engineering teams.
- Confirm that e-Cert content aligns with documented procedures, build plans, QMS standards, specifications, and internal requirements. Verify traceability of inspection and test results to associated hardware.
- Prepare summary reports of review findings, including escape rates, defect trends, and root cause insights. Provide feedback to support continuous improvement of certification and inspection processes.
- Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials throughout various production phases (including in-process, final, and first article) to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Participate in quality review boards and corrective action planning sessions. Recommend improvements to e-Cert generation, review workflows, and team training.
- Submit weekly status reports covering number of e-Certs reviewed, identified errors, turnaround times, and process improvement observations. Provide final quality review reports for each e-Cert package and maintain continuous feedback with Quality and Engineering teams.
- Operate and utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, height gauges, and profilometers to validate part conformity.
- Conduct surface plate inspections and statistical lot sampling based on quality requirements.
- Apply sharp visual inspection skills to identify workmanship issues and product defects, including damage such as burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, dings, and inadequate edge distances.
- Identify and categorize nonconformities and confirm that corrective actions or rework have been properly executed.
- Receiving shipping documentation for accuracy, confirming part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destination data are correct.
- Assure appropriate packaging, preservation, and delivery handling upon receiving.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with precision mechanical parts inspection.
- Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
- Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions (tolerances ≥.005”) using hand tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
- Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
- Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check.
- Must be ITAR compliant.
