Overview
Summary:
Assistant Director of Vocational, provides supervision, oversight and management to The Arc Gloucester’s Day Programs, as well as several Family Support Services (FSS) programs. This position supports the mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to achieve their highest potential through advocacy, education and quality services. Our day and FSS programs provide essential services to our community.
With this need, these programs have a focus on developing quality programing & growth in scope.
- This is an exempt position with typically work hours Monday – Friday, daytime hours. Must be available for emergency and on-call coverage beyond regularly scheduled hours. This position is supervised by the CEO and supervises several positions, including Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors & Direct Support Professionals.
- Provide supervision, oversight and management to The Arc Gloucester’s Day Programs and several Family Support Services (FSS) programs.
- Support the mission by empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to achieve their highest potential through advocacy, education and quality services.
- Lead the growth, innovation and diversification of opportunities across 4+ day programs and smaller community-based programs, and empower staff to meet these needs.
- Support changes with the Supported Employment - Small Group (aka Crew Labor) day program and other vocational opportunities; contribute to expanding program scope and leadership over time.
- The Arc Gloucester offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes a salary range from $53,000 – $62,000.

This position is expected to grow. Initially the position would focus on growing, innovating and diversifying the opportunities available at 4+ day programs & smaller community-based programs, as well as working to empower the staff to meet these needs. Additional focus will be on supporting changes with our Supported Employment - Small Group (aka Crew Labor) day program and other vocational opportunities.
Upon successful completion of those initiatives, this position is expected to grow in scope and leadership.
