Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing all food items following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits.
- Prepping assigned items according to the Prep Lists and par levels set by the Head Sushi Chef.
- Measuring and assembling ingredients required for recipes; cutting and portioning meats and fish properly.
- Storing and handling raw or prepared foods and supplies properly.
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen areas.
- Maintaining a safe and sanitary workstation.
- Handling food according to local health guidelines.
- Following proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and expense.
- Maintaining personal hygiene standards.
- Following safety regulations and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Attending training sessions as assigned.
- Adhering to uniform, grooming, safety, and sanitation rules.
- Minimum 1 year of high-volume sushi restaurant experience.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Serv Safe certification is a plus.
- Basic math skills for measurements.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good auditory and visual skills.
- Knowledge of company food & beverage standards.
- Organizational skills and multi-tasking ability.
Compensation: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour.
