This is a part‑time, 0.6 FTE Nursing Assistant opportunity based at our Landmark Surgery Center located in Woodbury, MN. 3 days per week, 8 hour weekday shifts with variable start times. This position may require flexibility to float to other Summit locations as needed.

Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri.

Week 2: Wed, Thu, Fri.

• Transfer the discharged patient weighing up to 200 lbs to awaiting transportation independently via wheelchair or other available modes of transportation.
• Assist in the safe transfer of patients from cart to chair and from chair to wheelchair.
• Act as assistant to RN caring for pediatric patients.
• Restock, label and maintain inventory; submit requisitions; collect and distribute instruments, trays, crash carts and facility medical equipment; perform environmental maintenance duties and assist in maintaining inventory levels throughout the Center.
• Respond to requests for assistance from professional staff to the level of competence attained.
• Verify that equipment functions properly; requisition repair or replacement of surgical instrumentation; remove defective instrumentation from general service.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Dispose of filled suction and trash containers; empty full linen hampers.
• Document maintenance activities when required.
• Assist with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives and quality.

• Education: High School (required).
• Experience: Previous Nursing Assistant experience is preferred.

Summit’s hiring range for this position is $18.77 to $23.46 per hour. The hired candidate may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, differentials and/or deferred compensation. Final base salary compensation will be determined based on skills, education, experience and internal equity.
