HiFyve is hiring a Plant Maintenance Mechanic in the food and beverage manufacturing industry in Woodbury, MN!

Salary: $32.00 - $34.00+/hour

Shift: M-F;
Monday 7AM to 3:30 PM, T-F noon to 8:30PM

Location: Woodbury, MN

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform both planned and emergency maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment, including production, packaging, and processing systems.
  • Operate and maintain utility systems, ensuring continuous supply of essential services like heat, steam, cooling, and electrical power.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns, utilizing technical manuals, electrical schematics, and work orders.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and document activities in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support line manufacturing systems, such as ozone, lube, chemical, and ingredient delivery.
  • Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment for maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including lockout-tagout, PPE requirements, and confined space safety.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment.
  • Report food safety or quality concerns to management and perform other assigned duties as needed.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Technical expertise in areas such as electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and HVAC systems.
  • Experience working with various equipment types, including motor control, process control, and packaging machinery.
  • Professional experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correct equipment issues independently.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds in a wet and noisy environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Must pass pre-employment screenings, including drug, background, and criminal checks.
