** We are looking for an overnight / 3rd Shift Maintenance professional with a manufacturing background. Starting pay $25-$30 depending on experience, plus shift pay.****$500 hiring bonus after 6 weeks, plus another $500 after 6 months! EMPLOYEE OWNED COMPANY.
**** AVEKA Manufacturing is an EMPLOYEE-OWNED company (Part of AVEKA Group, Inc. headquartered in Woodbury, MN) where you will have a stake in the success of the facility. After 6 months you will earn company shares.
**** Position Summary
** Responsible for general maintenance duties, including but not limited to routine preventative maintenance on equipment and facility assets, repairing or replacing equipment, and diagnosing mechanical and minor electrical problems on equipment and facility assets. Records and maintains records of repairs and costs associated with each item and other general activities involving facility and equipment maintenance.
** Responsibilities / Duties:
*** Perform routine preventive maintenance, per work orders, to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
* Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
* Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
* Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
* Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
* Work with engineers to order, cut, assemble and weld mezzanines, catwalks and associated stairs
* May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems
* Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
* Maintain the up keep of the building by doing repairs and renovations. (Major repairs/renovations are performed under the supervision of licensed maintenance workers.)
* May obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts. Create Material
Requisition s for the purchase of parts as needed.
* Maintain fork truck maintenance
* Maintain the ammonia cooling system
* Maintain systems within the company, such as, steam system, pump system, ammonia cooling system, electrical system, and boiler system## Qualifications
*
* Job Qualifications:
*** High School Diploma and 1-3+ years related experience
* Mechanical experience required
* Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, welding and fabrication required
* Some experience with Mig and Tig welders required
*
* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*** Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Ability to read technical drawings and work orders
* A willingness to learn and be a team player
* Independent organization and prioritization of multiple tasks
* Able to work effectively in a dynamic environment
* Able to read, interpret, apply, and communicate technical information, including drawings, statistical data and specifications
* Knowledge of, and ability to utilize, personal computers and certain software
* Skill and ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing
* Knowledge of equipment, production, and packaging processes
* Familiar with lock-out tag-out, AVEKA and OSHA safety practices
*
* Physical Requirements:
*** Up to 100% on the manufacturing floor that requires the ability to walk, stand, sit, reach, climb, bend, twist, push, pull, handle, lift, see, and hear; able to operate forklifts, fork trucks, pallet jacks, hoists, and other equipment to move materials; able to press buttons, operate levers, use wrenches, connect hoses, stack, load, unload, climb stairs, and use ladders; frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and/or moving heavier objects with mechanical assistance;
work environment may be very loud, warm, humid, and/or have dust, dirt, debris, and odors; some products contain allergens that may cause physical reactions in certain individuals; requires ability to properly wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, smocks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hair nets, gloves, etc.
* Up to 5% general office work with ability to sit for certain periods of time to complete documentation, refer to written procedures, log measurements, and related; ability to read, write, and print neatly
