As the Residential Area Director, you will drive the management and administration of programs and services, as well as foster new development in the specified geographic area. Your responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all funding sources, regulatory bodies, and families to ensure licensing and compliance.
- Managing all aspects of program/area financial performance, including budget management, contract review, and rate negotiation.
- Collaborating with the state management team to optimize state‑wide operations.
- Ensuring proper management of persons served and household finances.
- Leading training and supervision of program directors and managers, evaluating performance to ensure quality and efficient utilization.
- Assessing and proposing policies and procedures to elevate program efficiency using analytical tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Allied Health, Health and Human Services, Human Services Management, Social Work, Behavioral Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in the field of human services or healthcare, preferably overseeing community‑based programs for adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities.
- Designated Manager status per 245D licensing requirements.
- Budget experience managing $2M+ revenues.
- Proficient with software technologies and intermediate‑level user of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience overseeing operations in Residential, Home and Community‑Based Services (HCBS), Unit Based, or High Acuity (HA) environments.
- Expertise in 245D regulations and fee‑for‑service programming.
- Familiarity with Minnesota state systems, managed care systems, and waiver services (DD, BI, CADI, CAC, EW).
- Typical work schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. On‑call 24/7 outside hours may be required, unless coverage arrangements are made. - Occasional travel to the Minnesota Central Office in Mendota Heights may be expected.
- Retention bonus is not applicable for current Dungarvin employees.
