Join H&R Block as a Team Leader. Lead a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. We’re committed to a high-performing, connected culture where people belong.
Responsibilities- Provide front-line leadership and development for tax office associates to deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives.
- Lead daily activities to ensure deadlines are met with quality, prioritization, and alignment to goals.
- Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to execute Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping, and manage overtime.
- Prepare tax returns, as required.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
- Partner with District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Serve as point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and ensure clients are scheduled properly and conflicts resolved.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and address associate issues with the Associate Relations Center as needed.
- Prior experience in customer service, as a shift leader, or a similar role.
- Experience supervising or managing people.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or the Income Tax Course (if you will be preparing tax returns).
- Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Customer-centric mindset: passionate, determined, and resilient.
- Flexible schedule and ability to adapt work assignments based on business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent (or higher).

Pay RangeThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $65.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Pay decisions depend on factors such as experience, education, skills, performance, and location. Some eligible associates may participate in incentive plans; benefits may include medical coverage, retirement plans, and other programs.
