Description:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Inpatient unit No nights, weekends, or holidays Weekend Requirements:
None
Job Responsibilities Inpatient Coverage:
Providing care on an inpatient rehabilitation unit Managing a caseload of approximately mid-20s patients per day Collaborating with a team of 4 physicians and 3 mid-level providers Supervision:
Responsible for supervising other healthcare providers Procedures and Documentation:
Discharge summaries and medication reconciliation Clinical staffing and care plan meetings Weekly care plan documentation Pre-admission screening review and documentation per CMS guidelines Prescribing narcotics Performing PAPE/H&P Specialized procedures for stroke, amputations, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) Facility and Support Practice Setting:
Inpatient, MTS Floorwork on Unit Reason for Coverage:
Filling gaps while recruiting a new provider and covering for another provider on leave Number of Physicians in Practice: 4 Mid-Levels Providing Coverage: 3 Ancillary Staff:
Full complement Number of Beds on Unit:
Approximately mid-20s Patient Demographics: 99% adult, less than 1% adolescent Surgical Services: 24-hour availability including general, neuro, CT, ortho, and vascular at STF Lab and Anesthesia:
Both available 24 hours EMR System:
Epic Trauma Level/Designation:
Non-trauma center, non-emergent care inpatient unit Requirements Certification: ACLS Board Certified in PM&R State License:
Active Connecticut license Local Provider Preferred:
Only mileage reimbursement available Benefits Flexible
