Overview
Substitute Nutrition Site Coordinator - Woodburn, OR
We are looking to establish a pool of qualified candidates to help cover our Senior Meal Sites in Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Clatsop, and Tillamook counties during absences of the assigned Meal Site Coordinator. The position is part-time/on-call.
Starting pay is $17.66 per hour
. An offer of employment is contingent on the successful completion of a background check.

General Description
Meets Agency Mission to promote health and wellbeing of individuals in the community by overseeing a partial or full week congregate Nutrition Meal Site providing home delivered meals.
Essential Functions
Ensures successful operation of a congregate nutrition meal site and delivery of meals to homebound participantsProvides for social needs of program participantsDevelops and maintains a group of volunteers to provide nutrition servicesPromotes Agency and nutrition servicesPromotes person-centered servicesProtects consumers and reduces Agency riskAdditional detailed responsibilities include:
Ensures successful operation of a congregate nutrition meal site and delivery of meals to homebound participantsReceive, hold, prepare and serve all foods in compliance with proper health and sanitation requirementsEnsure home-delivered meals are prepared, accurately packaged and timely distributed to home bound program participants, as well as deliver meals in the absence of volunteersObtain meal selections from participants and submit accurate and timely meal countsCollect confidential program participant informationComplete annual home-delivered meal participant assessments and maintain regular communication with participants between annual assessmentsCollect, report, and safeguard program income and donationsGather program data and accurately complete reports to measure progress in meeting program performance goalsProvides for social needs of program participantsEnsure a friendly, clean and inviting atmosphere at meal sites during congregate mealsAcknowledge holidays, organize special events and fun activities within budgetDevelop and maintain trusted relationships with program participants by being patient, open-minded, compassionate, flexible, responsible, supportive and following throughPromote friendly interactions between volunteers and home bound participants during delivery and onsiteFacilitate problem resolution onsite and in the fieldConduct regular congregate meal site/delivery site safety checksDevelops and maintains a group of volunteers to provide nutrition servicesRecruit, supervise, and train volunteersIncrease volunteer participation through outreachEngage, support, motivate, and recognize volunteersEnsure volunteers meet standards, such as background checks, knowledge of and adherence to program requirementsRelease volunteers from service when necessaryProvide volunteers with agency volunteer insurance information and notify managers of any injuries or accidentsPromotes Agency and nutrition servicesParticipate in community outreach and activity planningCollaborate with program partners, providing information to community groups and mediaDevelop and implement strategies and activities to meet program goals, such as fundraising and volunteer recruitmentMotivate participants to engage in a variety of health promotion activitiesPromotes person-centered servicesEmbrace and exhibit the Agency Mission, Vision and Core ValuesProvide excellent customer service, meet the needs of participants, following through, meet deadlinesInteract with others in a respectful and culturally appropriate mannerUtilize language services to communicate with individuals whose primary language skills are non-EnglishMaintain the skills and the knowledge to perform the jobEducate self and others on resources available for populations served by referring to the ADRC databaseAccess ADRC Specialists, other Agency staff and community services partnersProvide suggestions for improvementPerform other duties as assigned by management(FOR BILINGUAL POSITIONS ONLY) Ensure non-English speaking consumers receive services and serve as an interpreter for the Agency in identified language pairsProtects consumers and reduces Agency riskFollow policies, regulations and requirements of the program and AgencyProvide documentation as set forth by Federal, State, funding regulations, and Agency policyServe as a Mandatory Reporter of suspected abuse of vulnerable populations as required by policy and regulationMaintain and share information according to privacy policies and regulations, including oversight of volunteer confidentiality requirementsSecondary Outcomes
