The majority of hours will be in the evenings, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Classes are expected to run in 6-week sessions, with scheduled breaks before the start of each new session.
Must be bilingual (Spanish/English).
Position Highlights:
- $42.44
- Provides culturally relevant bilingual parenting training using the Los Niños Bien Educados curriculum.
- Collects required forms, checklists, surveys, and other program documentation from participants and submits them to the Service Care Coordinator.
- Reviews class curriculum on a weekly basis to ensure content is current and aligns with the Los Niños Bien Educados parenting program.
- Works with the Service Care Coordinator and Public Health Manager to evaluate achievement of program goals and make suggestions for program improvements.
- Provides information to the Service Care Coordinator regarding social service referrals needed for class participants.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Completion of the Los Niños Bien Educados instructor training.
- Associate Degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology or Social Work is preferred.
- Two years' experience instructing the Los Niños Bien Educados Program is preferred.
- Certification in the Los Niños Bien Educados curriculum.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate at level 9 on the language proficiency scale. This position is not eligible for bilingual differential pay.
- Knowledge of cultural differences and ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations.
- Strong organizational skills.
