Fitness Attendant - Dale Recreation Center

Overview

If you take pride in cleanliness, enjoy staying active while working, and are interested in health, fitness, and recreation with a focus on excellent customer service, program support, and maintaining facility cleanliness, this position may be for you.

• Monitor fitness areas to ensure the safety of customers, equipment, and the environment.
• Respond calmly and effectively in the event of an emergency.
• Prioritize and respond to multiple requests within scheduled time frames.
• Meticulously clean the assigned areas and equipment.
• Provide basic fitness equipment identification and overview to customers.

Training will be provided.

Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, day times, late evenings, holidays, and weekend hours. Work opportunities are based on center needs and individual schedule availabilities.

• Preferred candidates will have current certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Minimum Requirement:
  Candidate must be at least 16 years old or older.
• Starting Payrate: $12.77

The Department of Parks and Recreation conducts DMV record checks on all employees driving for work purposes and criminal background checks on all hires ages 18 years and older. Fingerprinting may be required.
