Position: (USA) Member Team Lead

Position Summary: As a Member Team Lead at Sam's Club, you assist management with supervising associates, ensuring member service, compliance, and operational excellence.

Base pay range: $22.00/hr – $30.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Assist management with supervising associates, assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, and providing guidance on member service approaches.
  • Communicate and support membership by providing information on membership types, processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, encouraging renewals, and participating in sales and marketing events.
  • Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and supporting self‑service technology.
  • Oversee assigned area by handling claims and returns, zoning merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Complete accounting records, file transactions, and prepare daily deposits, Cash Fund Transfers, and financial analysis reports.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs through collaboration, analysis, monitoring, and improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrate compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethics, using the Open Door Policy, and correct ethical issues.
  • Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, coordinating work assignments, providing feedback, and modeling adaptability.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 months retail experience including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register).
  • 6 months customer service experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Front‑end team leadership experience.
  • Supervisory experience, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, and managing workload of others.
