About This Role:Our evidence-based programs offer proven ways to promote health and prevent disease among older adults. You will lead in coordinating interdisciplinary teams of trained volunteers to provide a whole-person approach to chronic condition management. You will ensure participants have access to proven tools for pain management and resilience training, guiding them every step of the way toward their personal health milestones.
You will coordinate with other stakeholders in scheduling and conducting workshops throughout the County. The ideal candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, and the general public. The ability to work independently and be well organized with good time-management skills.
High School Diploma, or G.E.D., and 4 years of professional experience in administering recreational programming, including Supervisory experience.
Preferences:- Bachelor’s degree innutrition, Dietetics, Counseling, Nutritional Science or related Healthcare field
- 5 or more years of experience in administering recreational programming.
- Experience in administering Chronic Disease Self-Management or other Evidence-Based programming.
- Experience in database documentation.
- Experience in marketing programs.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Education and Experience in the healthcare field.
- Experience with teaching and leading group discussion and role play.
- Training and mentoring staff and/or volunteers.
- Ability to move or carry 20 lbs.
- Must pass local, state, and federal background checks and have a valid driver's license
- Must pass physical and TB testing
- Must have the ability to complete the Master Trainer Chronic Disease Self-Management certificate within 3 months of employment
- Must obtain certification in CPR and First Aid within 3 months of employment
- Must be able to perform a range of motion and low-level endurance exercises.
Part-time position, 30 hours per week. Scheduled hours will be between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m , Monday through Friday . Must be flexible to work on occasional weekends to administer workshops and marketing practices.
Hiring Salary Range:$30.07 - $45.03 Hourly
