Overview

Materials Services Division, part of PWPL’s Administrative Support Center, has the perfect opportunity to join the Acquisitions team. In this role, you’ll handle ordering and invoices, collaborate with colleagues to solve practical problems, and play a key part in delivering reliable library service to the community.
AboutThis Role
As part of the Acquisitions team, you will be responsible for the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our libraries stocked and branch staff supported. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, values teamwork, and takes pride in supporting the mission of public libraries.
Key Responsibilities- Order materials that have been selected for the collection
- Ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time
- Purchase materials utilizing a Procurement card
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues
- Collaborate with colleagues on projects that support PWPL’s Strategic Plan
- Contribute to problem-solving efforts
- Provide excellent internal customer service that helps branches deliver reliable service to patrons
- Open boxes, shelve books, transport materials on carts
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Preferences- Experience managing orders
- Experience with financial systems and/or automated library systems
- Experience working in a team environment where collaboration and customer service are essential to success
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
- Experience actively contributing to the success of projects
- Demonstrates attention to detail and organization skills
- Proficient using Microsoft products such as Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
The position may require travel to other branches within the system. A DMV check will be conducted for employees who drive while on County business.
Work ScheduleThis is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. Work time must be within the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This is a telework eligible role (1 day per week) that may revert to in-office if business needs change.
Hiring Salary Range$21.14 - $28.00 per hour
