About This Role:
The Administrative Specialist ensures that when our doors open, everything is in place for our community to thrive. You will partner closely with the Branch Manager to handle the essential "behind-the-scenes" work that makes the library a safe, clean, and inviting space.
We are looking for a teammate who can think critically and pivot quickly when unique issues arise. Whether you are balancing the branch budget, ensuring our technology and supplies are stocked, or pulling the data that tells our story through monthly statistics, your work is what keeps the Potomac Library running smoothly.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and 2 years of administrative support experience.
Preferences:
* At least 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in government or public service
* Experience with maintaining budgets and placing supply orders
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital file systems
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Experience providing customer service to the public.
Special Requirements :
The position may require travel to other branches within the system. A DMV check will be conducted for employees who drive while on County business.
Work Schedule:
This is a non-exempt 20 hour per week position. Scheduled hours will fall within Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Typical weekly schedules include four five-hour shifts.
Hiring Salary Range:
$25.44 - 31.21 / hourly
